  • a range of occupational opportunities for adults. People may choose from the following options; workshop contracts; supported employment; retirement options or the Learning Centre
  • a range of residential supports for adults in their family home, in a private apartment, or within our seven community residences
  • offers a resource library to community members and undertakes a wide range of education and specialized training in an effort to improve the understanding towards people who have a developmental handicap.

Contract Worker Database

• This internet database was designed to help parents connect with contract workers available to provide respite to families with special needs. Using the check-box form you will be able to search this database according to your scheduling, skills and location requirements and immediately receive:
  1. A resumé ID# for each potential contract worker
  2. The physical location of each potential contract worker's resumé. Once you have received these ID numbers you can visit the agency which houses the resumé, review the workers' qualifications and experience in detail. The rest is up to you! Good Luck.

  4. Haliburton County Association for Community Living Your Responsibilities Responsibility for negotiating and implementing arrangements lies solely with the parents and contract workers.
  5. The Brighter Futures Program of the Peterborough Family Resource Centre regularly holds a Special Services At Home Course which will guide you through the process of finding, selecting, screening and working with potential Contract Workers.
